Disconnected Axis

A game made for the 2021 GMTK game jam, on the theme "Joined Together". This platformer allows you to disconnect from the two axis of 2D movement, fighting gravity and storing momentum to reach greater heights than otherwise possible.

Keyboard Controls: A and D to move. Space to jump. Comma to freeze vertical motion. Full Stop to freeze horizontal motion. R to reset. P to mute.

Gamepad Controls: Left joystick or D-pad to move. A or B to jump. Left Trigger to freeze vertical. Right trigger to freeze horizontal. Start or Select to reset.

The jam build of the game contains some bugs that are fixed in the later version. I recommend the non-Jam version of the game but I will leave it up so you can see what I made in the 48 hours.
